Job description

Our client operates in the manufacturing sector, supplying and manufacturing products for various clients across multiple industry sectors. They are now looking to strengthen their Sales team by recruiting a Sales Manager.

  • Potential to earn at least one month of extra salary per year as bonus, subject to satisfactory performance
Role Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow sales with existing customers / key accounts
  • Support operations team in order fulfillment and assisting them in their duties
  • Resolve customer disputes/issues regarding quality expectations, product shortages, damages, urgent and late deliveries
  • Generate leads, contact prospective customers via phone, email, and visit them as needed for business development
  • Prepare and submit sales reports as required by management
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs
  • Provide daily reports on field sales success and communicate the Voice of the Customer (VOC) data to superiors
  • Demonstrate good sales-management skills suitable for a B2B environment
  • Post-probation, work 3 days per week in the office, with up to 2 days of travel per week to meet customers and develop business
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience in B2B product sales and managing key accounts; candidates with higher service sales backgrounds need not apply
  • Willingness to travel at least 2-3 days per week for customer visits, product demonstrations, etc.
  • Confident communicator with a positive attitude, polite but firm telephone manner, and ability to build strong relationships
  • Commercial, common-sense approach
  • Ability to operate efficiently under pressure without sacrificing quality
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail with awareness of the bigger picture
  • Own car and UK driving license required
Additional Notes:

Experience in the Packaging Industry is an advantage but not essential.
