Overview

Join Airbus Helicopters at Oxford Airport, the UK’s civil helicopter hub, as our Sales Manager in a permanent, field-based role. You will own the full sales lifecycle and aim to exceed quotas by selling our portfolio—from aircraft and spares to service contracts—across the Private, Parapublic, and Military sectors in the UK and Ireland.

You must have proven sales experience in aerospace or aviation, strong pipeline management skills, and be driven to build customer relationships in a field-based capacity. This is your chance to contribute to delivering helicopters that serve, protect, and save lives globally.

Responsibilities
  • Business Development and Sales: Achieve and exceed annual and quarterly sales targets; identify, pursue and close new business opportunities across all AHUK offerings; develop activities across AHUK sectors; achieve required aircraft volumes with margin protection; collaborate with the Commercial team for market analysis; initiate and maintain relationships with key customers and industry partners; represent the Voice of the Customer within the AHUK Sales team.

  • Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a robust pipeline from prospecting to closing; involve relevant AHUK stakeholders; monitor and report forecasts; conduct regular meetings with leads and customers to ensure timely progression.

  • Leadership and Development: Support leadership with coaching; adhere to a rigorous sales process using SalesForce and reporting; conduct weekly pipeline reviews; participate in sales and marketing training.

  • Commercial Operations Liaison: Align proposals with customer expectations and profitability; ensure outstanding customer experience from sale to after-sales; ensure Export/Compliance and taxation information is shared to protect AHUK.

  • CRM and Reporting: Maintain accurate sales activities, forecasts and customer data in SalesForce; generate regular forecasts and insightful reports.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Essential

  • Proven sales, business development and customer service experience within aerospace, defence or aviation.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and margin targets.
  • Experience managing and growing a sales pipeline, including forecasting in Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; French and/or German is an advantage.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Private & Business Aviation, Parapublic or Military segments.
  • Knowledge of Airbus Helicopters and products; experience with customer support management is desirable.
  • Strategic thinking with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
Education, Qualifications or Training

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Aviation Operations or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • IT literacy: proficient with Salesforce, SAP Concur, Google Apps, Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Desirable

  • Open to training with new IT tools as needed.

  • Field-based role with a working office at Oxford Airport, UK, with frequent travel across the UK and Ireland and Europe as required.
