A growing company in Milton Keynes is seeking a Sales Manager to drive new business and lead generation across the UK. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in business development and strong sales/engineering knowledge. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 plus commission, along with a bonus scheme, private healthcare, and a hybrid working model. Overview

Sales Manager - Sales/Engineering

Salary: Up to £45,000 basic + uncapped commission
Package: Bonus scheme, AXA private healthcare, pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, hybrid working (minimum 2 days on site), mileage allowance (45p per mile).

The Role: We are seeking a motivated Sales Manager with a hunter mentality to drive new business and lead generation across the UK. You will take ownership of the sales process from start to finish, building relationships, generating tailored proposals, and managing opportunities through to completion.

Responsibilities
  • 60/40 split between new business and existing accounts
  • Building a strong sales pipeline through research and networking
  • Developing tailored proposals and quotations
  • Managing a small sales team and mentoring juniors
  • Attending trade shows and industry events
  • UK-wide travel (Glasgow to Devon) with flexibility to manage your own schedule
  • Full autonomy to deliver results on the road, onsite, or from the office
Experience & Skills
  • Proven background in business development (5-6 years)
  • CNC industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong sales/engineering knowledge
  • Ambitious and driven - someone who wants to grow with the company
  • Comfortable with regular UK travel
  • Able to commute to site when required
