Qualifications

Job description
Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required to join a global engineering manufacturer.

The succesful Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager shall work fully remote, covering the UK, with nationwide travel. You'll manage technical sales, key accounts, projects, and a small team of Internal Sales Engineers. The focus is on compressed air products and solutions - compressors, nitrogen generators, blowers, dryers, filtration and related equipment - sold via OEMs, end users and distributors. Full product training provided.

The Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will ideally have experience in compressed air or transferable sectors such as pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, medical gas, hydrogen, plant equipment, MRO, rotating equipment, machinery, or industrial systems.

Manage key accounts for compressors, nitrogen generators, blowers, dryers, and related equipment via OEMs and distributors.
Grow existing accounts and develop new business for compressed air products and solutions across the UK.
Lead and support the internal sales staff to meet team targets.
Drive compressor sales through demos, exhibitions, and negotiations.
Oversee technical sales, account management, and projects from spec to delivery.
Work with the Compressed Air Service Department to ensure strong after-sales support.
Liaise with engineering departments.

Experience as a Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Engineer, or similar within mechanical engineering.

Senior sales or managerial experience in a mechnaical engineering environment.
Technical qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree) advantageous.
Determined, enthusiastic, and motivated to grow with a global manufacturer.
Knowledge of compressors, vacuum systems, filtration, blowers, dryers, refrigeration, nitrogen generators, or related products is beneficial.
Full clean driving licence. Must be North based with nationwide travel
