POSITION: Sales Manager
LOCATION: Kingston, ON

MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruiting firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring companies.

Our client is a leading national distributor of building materials and they are in need of a new sales leader for their established branch in Kingston. This company is very established and stable with a strong brand and core values.

The Sales Manager will develop and lead all business operations and is ultimately responsible for growing the business while sustaining consistent profitability. Given the smaller nature of this location, the Manager will also lead and drive the sales and business development process requiring some field activity. There will be 2 direct reports to start with the need to grow the team up to 7.

Requirements:

  1. Post-secondary degree
  2. 2+ years of sales experience
  3. 2+ years experience in a management or leadership role
  4. Understanding of purchasing and inventory control processes
  5. Driven to succeed with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
  6. Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills
  7. Hands on and roll up your sleeves mentality
  8. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment
  9. Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract

Compensation:

  1. Base salary plus robust Profit Sharing = 120K+ OTE
  2. Car allowance
