This role is to specialise within Fertiliser sales. This role is ideally suited to a candidate living in either the North or North East of Scotland . The sales remit aligns with the forementioned. Sector experience (Fertiliser) is not a requisite as training can be provided, the key aspect for client is hiring the right personality! Experience within some aspect of Agriculture is a huge benefit.

THE BUSINESSOur client are a national manufacturer and distributor of fertiliser with a strong local presence throughout the UK. Our client has the widest range of fertiliser products and related services on the market. 3 of our clients fertiliser sites are based in Scotland!
THE ROLE- Conducting Farm Calls with established clients, developing relationships whilst maintaining current volumes of fertiliser sales.
- Ensure actions arising from farm calls are followed up on in a timely manner and concluded by using an efficient management system
- Acting on and maintaining a well organised calling pattern.
- Supporting an established network of Merchants and Agents within the region, dual calling or calling on behalf of, where appropriate. Providing technical and product training to distributors to ensure they have sufficient knowledge to promote and sell all Origin branded products in or out of campaign terms.
- Developing a strong knowledge and understanding of current environmental legislation including Rules for Water, NVZ, Soil, Air and Water Codes of Practice etc. with the ability to demonstrate that at various levels as well as a firm grasp of Processor Requirements.
- To be FACTS qualified or demonstrate the enthusiasm and ability to train and successfully pass this essential qualification.
- Participating in merchant meetings to promote branded products and organise a presence at local events, shows, demonstration farms, farmer discussion groups, etc
- Communicate back to customers on any farm calls and any actions arising
- Ensure the timely planning, organisation and implementation of regional sales campaigns to relevant customers.
- Monitor sales and other KPIs identified as objectives within all product groups and provide feedback to the Line Manager
THE PERSON- A strong desire to work in a commercial role, i.e. sales acumen, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, etc
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent presentational and communication skills
- A can do attitude and self-motivation and an ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
- Relevant computer skills and a working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A UK driving licence, with a willingness for levels of travel and overnight stays as required.
