Job description

Company Description

The Hoxton, Edinburgh

We've now opened our first UK hotel outside of London…and where better than the characterful capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. We are now looking for an experienced, energetic, proactive Sales Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in launching our brand in this new location. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for creating and managing a portfolio of accounts, driving corporate room nights into The Hoxton, Edinburgh. You will establish relationships with key players and grow their loyalty. If you’re great with people, have relevant experience in hotel sales, and are looking to join our growth journey, this is the opportunity for you.

The Hox in Edinburgh will feature 214 bedrooms inspired by Georgian heritage, a main restaurant, a large lobby & bar, The Get Together event space for up to 200 guests, and The Apartment — our unique meetings and events concept.

More about us…

The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighborhood we love. Since opening our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve aimed to offer more than just a bed for the night: style, good value, vibrant public spaces, and a sense of community where guests can hang out with locals.

What's in it for you...

  • Be part of a passionate team dedicated to creating great hospitality experiences.
  • Competitive salary.
  • 29 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension, and life insurance.
  • Food on us during your shift.
  • Enjoy a free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two upon starting.
  • Ongoing training and development to help you succeed.
  • Time off to volunteer with partner charities.
  • Recognition rewards like Hox Hero and Nifty Fifty.
  • Participation in diversity and inclusion events.
  • Team get-togethers, parties, and a vibrant team culture.
  • Opportunity to work in a creative, rewarding environment within an innovative, fast-growing international group.
  • Discounts across The Hoxton and Ennismore properties globally.

What you’ll do…

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to win new business and manage key relationships, meeting revenue goals and KPIs.
  • Develop and grow key accounts in segments like MICE, Corporate, Entertainment, and Sports.
  • Prepare and execute creative sales strategies for your managed accounts.
  • Generate new business through market research and collaboration with ACCOR and the Global Sales Team.
  • Build Account Management Plans, stay informed on market news and competitor insights.
  • Organize show rounds, sleepovers, and familiarization trips to promote The Hoxton.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Represent The Hoxton at industry events, tradeshows, and sales calls with high energy and enthusiasm.
  • Cross-sell The Hoxton and Ennismore properties worldwide.
  • Identify and pursue new group business opportunities.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and event planners.
  • Conduct sales presentations, site inspections, and client meetings.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to refine strategies.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.

What we’re looking for…

  • Individuals who want to be themselves; no clones in suits.
  • A passion for hospitality in all its forms.
  • A positive impact on people, leaving memorable experiences.
  • Team players who leave egos at the door.
  • Willingness to try new approaches and embrace change.
  • A fun, personable attitude that can handle a lively environment.
  • Desire to support a team that works hard, supports each other, and enjoys themselves.
  • At least 3 years of proven proactive sales and key account management experience in the hotel industry.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
