About Us:

We are By Formal Invitation, a 12 month old startup, lead by two Co-founding brothers, on a mission to revolutionise the wedding industry! The wedding industry is our speciality, it’s the industry we know and love. We are highly driven entrepreneurs, both in our early-mid thirties, who have previously built and own our own award winning wedding venue, Stretton Manor Barn in Chesterfield. Stretton Manor Barn has been a huge success with an established team of 20 employees, as a venue we have just been awarded Best Barn Venue in the UK for the second year running at The Wedding Industry Awards 2025.

By Formal Invitation is our full time passion, a new tech Software product for wedding venues and suppliers, separate to our existing business. For the past 12 months we have developed a product and business model which is set to revolutionise the industry. Our innovative platform connects wedding couples with potential venues and suppliers and offers planning tools, inspiration tools and management features never seen before in the industry. We have the resources to self fund development and our vision is to rapidly expand our product in the UK and USA later this year before rolling out features worldwide. Additionally, our platform involves payment processing, which is a key component of our new product.

We have now reached a point where we need to grow a team with individuals who are driven and passionate about this exciting opportunity. If you thrive in an exciting, agile, start up environment then this role is for you.

This is a Hybrid role, however it will be predominantly office based with the flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamicSales Managerto join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a prestigious brand at the heart of the luxury wedding and events industry. You’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our portfolio, cultivating strong relationships with high-end venues and suppliers, and driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives. This is a hybrid role however you will be required to work from the office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to attract premium wedding venues and luxury suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and partners.
  • Represent the brand at industry events and client meetings.
  • Work closely with the management team to align campaigns with sales objectives.
  • Identify new opportunities for business development and partnerships.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets through strategic selling and negotiation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proven track record in sales, preferably within the luxury events, hospitality, or wedding industry (but not essential)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong network of contacts in the high-end events or wedding space is a plus.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a passion for luxury and excellence.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Ability to use technology to elevate the sales process with live demo's and video calls.
