Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sales team, setting sales targets, and implementing effective strategies to increase customer acquisition and revenue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, leadership experience, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. This is a fully remote role, but occasional travel may be required for team meetings, industry events, or client interactions.
Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Performance Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and customer acquisition.
- Set realistic but ambitious sales targets and ensure the team is motivated to achieve them.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, analyse trends, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Identify new market opportunities and emerging customer needs.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, manage, and support a remote sales team to ensure high performance.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to enhance team skills and sales techniques.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
- Foster a positive and high-energy sales culture that encourages motivation and achievement.
- Customer & Partner Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement customer engagement initiatives to enhance loyalty and retention.
- Work with marketing to create targeted sales campaigns and promotions.
- Manage and optimise relationships with affiliates, resellers, or external sales partners.
- Reporting & Data Analysis: Track KPIs, conversion rates, and sales funnel performance to measure success.
- Provide detailed sales reports and insights to senior management.
Qualifications
- Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or similar role.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and motivating sales teams.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales performance tracking.
- Ability to work independently and manage a remote sales team.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in the financial education, digital products, or fintech industry.
- Familiarity with affiliate marketing and partnerships.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and online sales funnels.
