Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sales Lorry Driver - Tramper to deliver Tarmac bulk and packed cement between sites and to customers, complying with safety and environmental standards.

You will handle loading, unloading, and basic maintenance tasks, with ongoing training offered. You’ll need to liaise with the office for instructions and schedule, while enjoying benefits including a bonus scheme, enhanced holidays, a contributory pension, and employee support services.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence required.
• Digital Tachograph (Tacho) card required.
• CPC qualification card required.
• Experience operating bulk tankers is desirable.
• Ability to communicate with busy office for instructions.

• Load and deliver cement to a range of customers and sites.
• Carry out first line maintenance on the vehicle.
• Assist with loading process and use fixed access steps.
• Maintain safe and compliant driving practices.

Job description

As a successful Sales Lorry Driver - Tramper, you will be responsible for the delivery of Tarmac bulk and packed cement between Tarmac sites and to customers, and other duties in line with business needs. The role works within all relevant statutory legislation together with internal company Safety, Health and Environmental Standards.,

Key responsibilities

• The loading and delivery of Tarmac bulk and packed cement to a range of ready-mix and concrete product customers.
• First Line Maintenance duties on vehicle.
• Regular use of fixed access steps to complete the loading process.

Requirements

• Class 1 HGV Driver experience ideally within the construction environment or similar, as well as the ability to use your own initiative and communicate with a busy office for instructions and information., HGV Class 1 licence.
• HGV Class 1 licence.
• Valid Digital Tacho Card.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Experience of operating bulk tankers (desirable).

We do not require previous experience with cement or building products, as full training will be given.
