A leading business based in Pontefract seeks a full-time Sales Ledger Clerk on a permanent basis. The role involves extensive support across the invoicing process, working with a team to ensure that all invoices are sent on time while managing outstanding invoicing issues. The ideal candidate will bring at least a year of experience handling high volume invoicing and complex queries, demonstrating strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year working in a similar sales ledger/finance admin role.
  • Educated to GCSE level including Maths & English.
  • Experience working with MS Office packages including Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Raising sales invoices for all departments in line with KPIs.
  • Checking invoices for accuracy and ensuring coding is correct.
  • Answering incoming calls and managing post.

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently supporting a leading business based in the Pontefract area as they look to bring a Sales Ledger Clerk on board on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be working within a team of 6, reporting into the Sales Ledger Manager, to provide extensive support across the invoicing process. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years' worth of experience working within a similar role, dealing with high volume invoicing and complex queries.

Key duties include:

  • Raising sales invoices for all departments in line with KPIs
  • Reporting on outstanding invoicing issues
  • Checking invoices for accuracy, ensuring coding is correct
  • Providing cover and support across finance admin tasks as requested
  • Ensuring all invoices are sent on time
  • Providing back up/copy invoices where required
  • Answering incoming calls and managing post

Person specification:

  • At least 1 year working within a similar sales ledger/finance admin role
  • Educated to GCSE level incl. Maths & English
  • Ability to work well under pressure to strict deadlines
  • Experience working with MS Office packages incl. Excel
