About the Role

As a transactions associate, you will be responsible for all accounts receivable activities for City AM. City AM is a daily tabloid distributed in and around London, covering business, finance, politics, lifestyle and sport. As well being a newspaper, there are a multitude of other revenue streams that you will be expected to manage. In addition to the AR activities, you will also be responsible for the cash collection for the ledger.

You will also be responsible for a designated customer base within our e-commerce sales ledger. This will involve billing, cash collection, query resolution, cash allocation and stakeholder management. There may also be purchase ledger requirements within the role (processing invoices, reconciling statements, organising payments) as we have reciprocal relationships with our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Billing of various revenue streams for City AM.
  • Credit control for the City AM ledger.
  • Managing onboarding of customers for City AM.
  • Billing for our e-commerce ledger.
  • Credit control for our e-commerce ledger.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure queries are resolved promptly.
  • Liaising with cash & treasury teams to ensure payments are posted accurate
  • The transactions associate will be targeted to invoice our revenue accurately and optimise cash collection for the ledgers they are responsible for.

Requirements:

  • A shared service environment would be desirable.
  • Proven track record of high performance with Credit Control and Accounts Receivables.
  • Instil a responsive ‘right first time’ approach.
  • Professional education or equivalent experience.
  • Office IT literate, preferably with advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience of working in a Shared Service Centre or similar working environment
  • Sage or any other ERP systems knowledge.
  • Access bespoke development programmes that have been designed and developed by our in-house L&D team.
  • Continued development through our upskilling programme that is delivered in partnership with an industry-leading training provider.
