Join Close Brothers Asset Finance Team where you will drive business growth by developing, motivating, providing structure and guidance to your team. Working as part of the Transport team, our ideal team member will have previous experience in assisting a team and supporting team members in reaching their targets, enhancing their skill sets, and fostering a cohesive and motivated team atmosphere. In addition, they may participate in their own sales activities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on coaching and performance management to team members to support skill development and professional growth.
  • Conduct observed customer visits and provide structured feedback to reinforce best practices and identify development areas.
  • Develop tailored coaching plans for underperforming team members, setting clear goals, timelines and support strategies.
  • Ensure that an effective performance review is operated in line with Divisional and Group guidelines, including setting objectives, personal development planning and performance standards with all direct reports.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director, CEO, and HR Business Partner to build a culture focused on performance management and improvement.
  • Ensure job descriptions, objectives and incentives reward behaviours aligned to Close's values and good customer outcomes, Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.
We would love to hear from you if
  • Have considerable experience in a customer-facing sales environment, ideally within asset finance.
  • You can demonstrate the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • You demonstratable track records of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • You have excellent negotiation, presentation and closing skills, with a consultative approach to selling.
  • You have strong commercial acumen and an understanding of industry trends and business drivers.
  • You are skilled in setting clear goals, managing KPIs, and creating accountability.
It is not essential but it would be great if you:
  • Have experience leading a high performing team.
  • Have a strong track record of coaching and developing individual team members to consistently improve performance and achieve targets.
