The Sales Executive UK is responsible for driving sustainable and profitable growth across a portfolio of direct customers within the UK Personal Care market. The role manages a defined portfolio of accounts across A, B, and C segments, with a primary focus on developing strategic relationships with key and mid-sized customers while ensuring consistent service and growth across the broader customer base.
This position combines strong commercial ownership with technical understanding, enabling the effective translation of ingredient innovation into customer value. The Sales Executive works closely with Technical Service, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions aligned with customer needs, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
Operates autonomously in managing assigned account portfolio and sales activities. Makes decisions on pricing within agreed frameworks and account strategies. Escalates decisions involving significant financial impact, contractual commitments, or strategic deviations. Balances short-term revenue delivery with long-term customer development.
Strong understanding of personal care ingredients, formulations, and applications Knowledge of UK/EU regulatory frameworks and sustainability expectations Strong negotiation and value-selling capabilities Ability to analyze sales performance, margins, and opportunity pipelines Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills Ability to influence at multiple levels within customer organizations
1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or related field
2. Experience: min 5 years of experience in B2B sales management in the Personal Care industry or specialty chemicals. Experience managing direct customer portfolios is essential
3. IT Skills: Advanced computer software capabilities like MS Office
4. Language Skills: Fluent in English
5. Working arrangements: Home office based within the midlands of UK
6. Traveling required: up to 50% travel within the south of UK
