Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange Data Services (ICE Data Services) is expanding our global sales organization and looking for a high-caliber sales executive to join our growing team.

The Sales Executive for EMEA & APAC Desktop is an experienced role responsible for maintaining and growing our ICE Connect Desktop product suite. The ideal candidate will focus on building networks and expanding the community around our ICE Communications Tool, including ICE Chat and ICE Voice, across Energy/Commodities clients and prospects. Additionally, the role supports the broader ICE Desktop product suite, including ICE Connect. The salesperson will hold a personal quota and collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies for achieving retention and new business growth targets.

This role is suited for a self-motivated individual who thrives at the forefront of business activities, celebrates personal and team successes, and possesses strong leadership and communication skills. A good understanding of market data and trading environments from content, technology, and networking perspectives is essential.

We seek a professional with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas, managing pipelines effectively, adopting CRM tools, territory management, and closing deals. Critical thinking from both business and technical perspectives is required. Experience in sales of financial technology applications targeting market participants in physical and financial commodities or equity derivatives markets is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of multi-line, multi-speaker applications used by traders and brokers in capital and commodity markets is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Selling to existing ICE customers and new firms across EMEA and APAC.
  • Managing a sales pipeline: identifying opportunities, managing trial processes, and closing deals through contract negotiation.
  • Exceeding sales and retention quotas for the ICE Connect platform, mainly focusing on ICE Voice for ICE Chat.
  • Managing territory and collaborating with colleagues to identify and close new global opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Working with product and business teams to provide feedback on client, prospect, or partner requirements.
  • Utilizing CRM tools and managing sales pipelines effectively.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive sales experience with a focus on financial markets, especially market data, desktop, or voice/chat technologies.
  • Strong industry knowledge of Commodities, Energy, and derivatives.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Competency in consultative and solution-based sales approaches.
  • Experience in training-based sales.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, especially Salesforce.
  • Effective pipeline management and forecasting skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • A proven high close ratio in sales.
  • Previous experience with data/software vendors, exchanges, or trading firms is preferred.
