About the Position

This role is critical for driving business development and expanding ourfootprintacross the greaterAustin, TX region. Working autonomously, the Sales Executive will collaborate closely withtheRegional VP East &SVPAmericasto develop and execute strategic sales initiatives while leveraging their network and expertise in the industry.

T he Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and targeting new business opportunities within the ERCOT energy market by leveraging Energy Exemplars Solutions's cutting-edge analytical tools and market insights. This position will oversee the full sales cycle acrossgreater Austin, TX marketservingas the primary point,this role will collaborate with a virtual portfolio team to engage,retain, enable, and expand Energy Exemplar’s customer base, covering both current clients and new prospects in the region.

They will work closely with existing and prospective clients, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the energy sector. By fully understanding each client's unique needs, the Sales Representative will offer tailored solutions, utilizing Energy Exemplars Solutions’ comprehensive market analytics, forecasts, and modeling tools to help clients navigate ERCOT’s complex market dynamics.

  • Key responsibilities this person will perform :
  • Identify and target new clients in the ERCOT market, developing and executing sales strategies to promote Energy Exemplar’s products and services.
  • Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, negotiating contracts, and managing a robust sales pipeline.
  • Provide clients with insights into ERCOT market trends, energy pricing, grid operations, and regulatory changes, positioning Energy Exemplar’s solutions as critical to their success.
  • Identify new business sales opportunities across greater A ustin, TX
  • Meet or exceed the personalfinancialsales targets based on team’s annual corporate targets
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Participate ininternalcustomer account planning withCustomer Success team to identify potential upsell and expansion opportunities
  • Partner with marketing to execute focused sales campaigns to build sales pipeline for current customer base
  • Engage with customer team on health checks, business value reviews, etc. to ensure customer value realization and then capture value stories to share with other key stakeholders
  • Outbound prospecting and networking, at multiple levels, from end user to management to executive, solving their pain points through value-based selling
  • Develop solid understanding/high knowledge of market segments and applications for Energy Exemplar solutions
  • Serve as a manager of the sales process between prospect sourcing, technical demos, trials, and serve as process manager and “closer” to get the signed contract
  • Perform market research to identify prospects, new market areas and new market/service opportunities


Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in enterprise software sales or consulting
  • Experience selling into Utilities, Energy, Renewables or Oil & Gas industry
  • Consistent record of achieving targets and goals in a sales setting
  • Significant customer-facing experience leading enterprise-typecustomers through business or technology transformations with large account/project management experience
  • Proven track record of success in driving new business sales within a developing region
  • Ability to travel
