SALES EXECUTIVE – FREIGHT FORWARDING
Location: Dover Area – Office Based
Salary: £27,500 p.a.plus commission
Hours: Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1700
Holidays: 22 days annual leave plus all UK Bank Holiday

Own Transport Required due to location and client visits (expenses & mileage paid)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Executive to join a leading logistics and freight forwarding business based near Dover.This office based role focuses on driving new business through prospecting and lead generation across Ocean, Air and Road freight.The ideal candidate will be ambitious, target driven and commercially minded with a passion for sales and client development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, initiate first contact outreach, and develop new sales leads across multiple freight channels
  • Build and maintain long term relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal
  • Submit competitive quotes, overcome objections and win new business
  • Respond to and manage tender enquiries for key 'A' list customers
  • Conduct client meetings both face to face and via Teams, with clearly defined goals
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop sales pipelines and maximise CRM data

Skills and Experience

  • Proven ability to build rapport, identify opportunities and convert leads into business
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Self motivated, target focused and results driven
  • Freight forwarding or logistics industry experience is advantageous but not essential

Working Environment

  • Office based role in Dover with travel for client visits when required
  • Full access to telephone, PC and company vehicle for appointments

  • Full industry training provided by the Sales Manager and Director
