In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with piece of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. We match local expertise with strict global standards, making sure we consistently make our customers’ port calls as efficient and safe as possible.

We are looking for a Sales Executive to join our Port Services Division to maintain and grow the existing account portfolio by securing new business from existing customers and hunting for new customers. To optimize profits across a portfolio and align customer needs across operations through close collaborations with relevant stakeholders.

Who you will report to:

This position reports to the Key Account Manager. In addition, the position requires close cooperation with other Sales Executives, Key Account Managers, Ships Agency Managers and Customer Success Agents.

What you will be doing:

Drive profitable sales growth on existing and new customers

  • Build sales pipeline and secure sales growth
  • Collaborate closely with relevant WPS stakeholders to secure growth on existing and new accounts
  • Together with Key Account Manager set and reach ambitious targets for own customer portfolio
  • Ensure full compliance with WPS sales governance
  • Ensure accurate and updated information in the CRM system
  • Contract management, make sure accounts adhere to all terms, including credit
  • Develop sales plans for own portfolio
  • Secure multilevel entry points with own accounts
  • Implement and follow up on campaigns
  • Responsible for ensuring own customers have a credit exposure approval limit in place in accordance with Credit Policy and Chart of Authority
  • Responsible for credit collections and credit risk management related to customer portfolio

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Diploma in Business and/or relevant field. Lack of formal education can be compensated by relevant experience.
  • Having international sales experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience from negotiating with customers
  • Proven communication skills and good command of the English language (verbal and written)
  • IT literate, with experience from working with Excel, Word, Teams, CRM systems etc.

This position will be measured with:

  • Customer face time (sales calls)
  • Opportunity pipeline
  • CRM system usage
