Job description

Our client is looking for a proactive, experienced Sales Engineer to cover the North West region. If you are based in Sheffield, Newcastle, Grimsby, and surrounding areas, you are well suited for this role. The role requires previous experience and a full UK driving license. You must be able to prove your knowledge of electronics and provide a full CV outlining your experience. Applications from similar sectors (Water, Chemicals, Pharma, Energy) selling specified products would be particularly welcome.


Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities within your sales territory, aiming for optimum performance, maximum profitability, and growth in line with company vision and values.


Implements plans and strategies to retain and expand the customer base in the market area and contributes to the development of a world-class sales organization.


Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for all sales activities in the sales territory and making this visible.
  2. Responsible for implementing sales strategies for the market.
  3. Responsible for attainment of territory sales goals and profitability.
  4. Responsible for achieving sales-related KPIs.
  5. Provides timely feedback to GM.
  6. Responsible for the territory annual sales budget.
  7. Responsible for sales-related expenses to meet territory budgetary guidelines.
  8. Responsible for maintaining and growing key accounts.
  9. Responsible for efficient and correct use of our CRM in line with corporate guidelines.

Internal / External Cooperation

  1. Demonstrates belief in PR, the brand, and the vision.
  2. Demonstrates ownership and competence with accountability and follow-up.
  3. Maintains and grows contact with key clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and market knowledge.

Qualifications

  1. 10 years of experience in an external sales environment.
  2. Technical degree or diploma.
  3. Relevant commercial experience in the market for industrial automation, preferably instrumentation.
  4. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  5. Willingness to travel and be part of a global team of professionals.
  6. Proven hunter qualities with an ability to listen.
  7. Experience and optimal use of our CRM system.
  8. Fluent in English.

Qualifications and Experience
