Overview
We currently are recruiting for a leading independent timber merchant; they have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join their Sales Team to be based at their Head Office in Kings Lynn.
Competitive salary offered depending on experience.
Hours will be 7.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
- Self-generate and build commercial opportunities by converting these into revenue for the business.
- Maintain a proactive sales approach by implementing and following the strategic sales plan.
- Influence and negotiate prices to capitalise on commercial opportunities.
- Maintain a level of proactive telephone and face-to-face contact with prospective customers.
- Offer initial solution overview and help identify customer goals/challenges.
- Research local opportunities and ensure all quotations are followed up when necessary.
- Ensure all orders received are entered into the internal system accurately.
- Ensure that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion.
- Purchasing when required.
- Hit or exceed monthly sales targets.
- Generate excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment to the achievement of business strategy and goals.
- Serve customers on our trade counter during peak times.
- Pick orders for collection.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a field sales role with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A team player who can work well under pressure and to demanding deadlines.
- Versatile and flexible in approach.
- A good knowledge or background in timber products.
- Prepared to work on a Saturday morning according to our weekend rota.
