Overview

We currently are recruiting for a leading independent timber merchant; they have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join their Sales Team to be based at their Head Office in Kings Lynn.

Competitive salary offered depending on experience.

Hours will be 7.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Self-generate and build commercial opportunities by converting these into revenue for the business.
  • Maintain a proactive sales approach by implementing and following the strategic sales plan.
  • Influence and negotiate prices to capitalise on commercial opportunities.
  • Maintain a level of proactive telephone and face-to-face contact with prospective customers.
  • Offer initial solution overview and help identify customer goals/challenges.
  • Research local opportunities and ensure all quotations are followed up when necessary.
  • Ensure all orders received are entered into the internal system accurately.
  • Ensure that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion.
  • Purchasing when required.
  • Hit or exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Generate excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment to the achievement of business strategy and goals.
  • Serve customers on our trade counter during peak times.
  • Pick orders for collection.
What we are looking for
  • Previous experience in a field sales role with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A team player who can work well under pressure and to demanding deadlines.
  • Versatile and flexible in approach.
  • A good knowledge or background in timber products.
  • Prepared to work on a Saturday morning according to our weekend rota.
