• Numerate with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient with IT, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow up and file quotations issued to check competitiveness.
• Issue price quotations in response to enquiries.
• Maintain content and accuracy of sales daybook.
• Answer general customer enquiries about product availability.
• Deal with customer complaints and enquiries.
• Proactively call dormant & targeted accounts.
• Assist in collecting cash from debtors.
• Receive, examine, and link confirmation orders.
• Check and confirm dates of direct deliveries.
• Liaise with suppliers on incoming goods schedules.

About the role

• Following up and filing quotations issued to check competitiveness and to secure sales
• Issue price quotations in response to enquiries, and to price tender documents
• Maintain content and accuracy of sales daybook
• Answering general customer enquiries, advising product availability, delivery dates, transport schedules, and product lead-times promptly and accurately
• Dealing with customer complaints and enquires
• Proactively call dormant & targeted accounts
• Assist in collecting cash from debtors where needed
• Receive, examine, and link confirmation orders, advising any amendments necessary to originals
• Check and confirm dates and content of direct deliveries
• Pass checked and confirmed direct deliveries daily to invoicing
• Liaise with suppliers on schedules for incoming goods for specific order
• Assist in maintaining current and updated price lists and manufacturer literature at the branch
• Offer credit facilities to prospective customers, observing the credit control procedures

• You will have experience within office-based customer service or sales
• You will be numerate with strong accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficient with IT, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
