Job summary

Vita Group’s House of Social Food Hall in Manchester City Centre is seeking a Sales & Events Manager who will lead proactive sales and business development to grow our presence locally. You will build relationships with corporate clients, agencies and venues, converting opportunities into bookings while coordinating with reservations and operations teams.

You'll travel across Manchester to network at events, manage private hires and corporate bookings, and drive revenue growth through a strong

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales or events, with a track record of generating new business.
  • Confident in outbound sales, networking and building strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong pipeline management skills and experience working towards sales targets.
  • Commercially aware, self-motivated and able to work independently; Manchester hospitality knowledge is advantageous.

Sales & Events Manager – House of Social Food Hall, Manchester City Centre

Contract: 12 MonthFixed Term Contract, 42.5 hour per week

Salary: £32-34,000 per annum

Working Patterns: Monday - Friday

House of Social Food Hallis Manchester’s newest and most exciting food hall. A collection of five independent kitchens, serving food and drink to suit every taste and time. Our venuespans 12,000 square feetof brand new dining and drinking space. We're looking for a driven, outgoing and commercially minded Sales & Events Manager to help grow House of Social and build our presence across Manchester. We want someone who knows Manchester – or is excited to get to know it – and enjoys getting out there, meeting people, building relationships and turning those relationships into revenue.

From corporate events and Christmas parties to brand activations, celebrations, networking events and long-term business partnerships, you'll be responsible for finding opportunities and converting them into business.

Our Sales & Events Manager

As Sales & Events Manager, you’ll lead proactive sales and business development activity for House of Social, building strong relationships with corporate clients, event bookers, agencies, local businesses, residential partners and organisations across Manchester. Your focus will be on identifying new opportunities and growing a sustainable pipeline of business.

Working closely with our Reservations, Marketing and Operations teams, you’ll ensure every opportunity is turned into an exceptional event that drives repeat business. A key part of the role is being out in the market, meeting prospective clients, attending networking events and developing long-term relationships that support the venue’s growth.

Business Development & Outbound Sales
  • Build and manage a proactive sales pipeline to generate new corporate, event and group bookings.

  • Develop strong relationships with businesses, organisations and key contacts across Manchester through networking, outreach and client meetings.

  • Convert leads into bookings through venue tours, consistent follow-up and exceptional client engagement.

  • Drive revenue growth by achieving sales targets, securing repeat business and identifying opportunities during quieter trading periods.

Networking & Partnerships
  • Represent House of Social at networking events and build a strong presence within Manchester’s business and hospitality community.

  • Develop relationships with corporate decision-makers, event bookers, agencies, organisers, and local businesses to drive commercial opportunities.

  • Identify and create partnerships, collaborations, and cross-promotional activities that increase engagement and brand awareness.

  • Host prospective clients, build a valuable professional network, and create opportunities for businesses to engage with House of Social beyond event bookings.

Events & Private Hire
  • Manage the full sales journey, from generating enquiries and understanding client requirements to securing confirmed bookings.

  • Deliver exceptional client experiences through venue tours, tailored proposals and effective upselling opportunities.

  • Build strong relationships with clients throughout the planning process, ensuring a seamless handover to Reservations and Operations teams.

  • Drive repeat business and referrals by following up after events and maintaining long‑term client relationships.

Sales Pipeline & Reporting
  • Maintain an organised sales pipeline, accurately tracking leads, opportunities, revenue and conversion performance.

  • Monitor and report on key sales metrics, including outbound activity, client meetings, venue tours, proposals and confirmed bookings.

  • Analyse business performance, identifying trends, lost opportunities, repeat business and areas for growth.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop new partnerships, maximise future opportunities and drive commercial success.

Professional Experience
  • Proven experience in business development, sales or events, with a track record of generating new business.

  • Confident in outbound sales, networking and building strong client relationships.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Highly organised with strong pipeline management skills and experience working towards sales targets.

  • Commercially aware, self‑motivated and able to work independently; hospitality, events or Manchester market knowledge is advantageous.
