Job summary

Rutherford Briant is seeking an Estimator to join their team in the UK. The role blends estimating with commercial and technical responsibilities, including customer relationships, drawings interpretation, and business development.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in estimating, pricing or commercial role.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing or related industry beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Strong numerical and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full estimating process from enquiry to quotation.
• Interpret technical drawings and project specifications for pricing.
• Source and negotiate costs with suppliers, coordinating with procurement.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and respond promptly.
• Identify opportunities and support sales and business development.
• Attend meetings, site visits and industry events to build relationships.
