Job description

This role is part of the existing Protec Fire Detection PLC system sales team, now integrated into the Bosch Group, focusing on future development and training for a System Sales Engineer position.

The company aims to grow system sales across the UK and is seeking a suitable candidate for a sales engineer role, both as a trainee and supporting team member, within a professional sales environment. We are looking for an individual motivated to become an integral part of the sales team.

  • Job Location: London (Swanley Regional Office) and Hampshire (Fareham Regional Office)

Contract Type: Full time

Hours: 40 hours per week

Typical Responsibilities
  • Learn to prepare System Designs for BS 5839 (Fire Alarm and EVC) and BS 8629 (Evacuation) Systems.
  • Visit sites to conduct surveys or condition reports.
  • Complete and submit surveys and small works quotations.
  • Support regional sales or design teams as assigned.
  • Develop sales skills and understand the requirements and techniques of a successful sales team.
  • Learn to produce Technical Submissions.
  • Create project-specific quotations with supporting documentation (schematics, tender deliverables, qualitative and contractual information).
  • Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations for bids.
  • Deliver presentations and demonstrations to end users, M&E consultants, and electrical contractors.
  • Maintain a flexible work approach and work effectively under short deadlines.
  • Understand commercial aspects related to contracts and quotations.
  • Under guidance, pursue leads and opportunities in the sector.
  • Support the growth of system sales for Protec Fire Detection PLC.
  • Engage with clients and attend meetings across the UK as required.
