Responsibilities

Responsible for driving profitable sales in the region by expanding current accounts and the building of new business. S/he will drive operational effectiveness in full respect of Morgan's Responsible Business Program. Having a direct influence on the strategic development of the company's product range, responsible for generating new business, and networking with professionals in the target markets to support growth & profitability. This position is an important role in aiding the development of the growth ambitions of Performance Carbon and is a key member of the European Sales Team. This role is based in the Netherlands, whilst also covering Belgium.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES:

Assesses opportunities and develops market insight
  • Achieving sales, pricing and margin targets of the business;
  • Acting as primary contact for assigned customers and business opportunities;
  • Identifying, nurturing and converting new business opportunities in the target markets;
  • Independent technical and commercial support of the customer base in the sales area, from processing enquiries and orders to general contract negotiations and after-sales business;
  • Developing of customer-specific solutions for the use of our products along the entire value chain;
  • Internal, interdisciplinary coordination and management of contract-relevant issues in consultation with the Sales Manager;
  • Maintaining customer relationships, identifying customer needs, assessing customer satisfaction and developing and implementing measures for improving customer satisfaction;
  • Working with all departments across sites to ensure processes and products are developed to meet customer requirements;
  • Developing and implementing action plans to ensure successful conversion of NBDP (New Business Development Pipeline) both directly and through distributors and alliances;
  • Utilise Morgan CRM to manage all sales and marketing data including customer visit reports, quotes;
  • Representation of our company with participation in conferences, congresses and trade fairs.
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

  • Relevant engineering qualification
  • 3-5 years of technical sales experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Financial acumen and numeric aptitude - a thorough understanding of financials, commercials and budgets
  • Understanding and experience of both direct and indirect sales channels
  • Innovative thinking to spot new opportunities and to establish rapid growth within the new market place
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Strategic thinking - identifies opportunities for growth and creates action plans to achieve growth
  • Previous experience in a business selling technical products
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • An understanding of high-value added products and technical solution selling.
  • Fluent English, Dutch is considered a plus
  • Demonstrates leadership behaviours; builds teams and drives performance.
