If youre a proven sales executive with a background in fluid power/engineering sales, then were keen to talk to you about an exciting opportunity to join a growing business offering great career opportunities with a path to a Sales Director position in the future. Youll also receive a generous compensation package with a company car and uncapped commission.

Working as a remote based Sales Engineer, youll be joining an independently owned, family run business, benefiting from a small business culture who have big business ambitions. Our client supplies a wide range of hydraulic products across the UK, so being able to read and understand a hydraulic schematic/circuit would be advantageous, but not essential.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Seek new OEM business to generate regular monthly orders for hydraulic components
  • Secure regular repeat business from existing customers
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to a group of people within a new business environment
  • Build long term and trustworthy relationships with both customers and suppliers
  • Field technical questions in the right manner (knowing when to defer technical questions but also having the skills/knowledge to provide responses at that moment to build confidence)
  • Effectively organise your own schedule to maximise logistical efficiency for your meetings

Ideal Candidate Attributes

  • Capable of building a pipeline of new contacts and progressing a strategy for sales opportunities
  • Ability to research new business sectors and opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent with MS excel and basic MS office skills
  • Understanding of CMS systems
  • Target driven and passionate about Sales
  • Knowledge of Power Pack design would be advantageous
  • Ability to read and understand a hydraulic schematic/circuit would be advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable (eliminates the need for micro-management from the director)
