Who We Are:

Cingularity a highly specialised global fibre network provider enabling premium live broadcast TV transmission. Our obsession with quality, performance, and network resilience, has allowed us to deliver services for companies including Amazon Prime, Warner Brothers Discovery, and ATP Media, where we are trusted to carry the live TV signals destined for their global TV audiences. Cingularity was acquired by IMG Media in September 2022 to provide the expertise to guide IMG’s remote production evolution toward a hybrid model of fibre, satellite, cloud and IP.

We are seeking a local access specialist with a broadcast and/or telecommunication background to join the sales engineering team and help us develop and expand over the coming years. You will play a crucial part in Cingularity’s growth, ensuring client uptake in Cingularity solutions. You will be actively involved from client engagement until project initiation. You will aid company growth and use your knowledge to shape customer solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to develop relationships with local access network providers globally and take responsibility for the access procurement portion of the solution design process. This position will play a crucial role in shaping Cingularity's local access strategy on a global scale.

Please Note:

  • The position is a hybrid role, where your time can be split between the office and home.
  • Our primary office is located at 28 Hanbury Street, London, E1 6QR.

What You'll Do:

  • Identify and design appropriate solutions that align with Cingularity's offerings, working with the customer, the sales team, and the engineering team to exceed customer expectations.
  • Document solutions, including technical documentation, solution diagrams and drawings, used for both the end customer and internal teams.
  • Regular engagement with suppliers and vendors for proposals, quoting, and final bill of materials.
  • Contribute to RFI/RFP responses
  • Ensure the sales engineering team is supported throughout the sales cycle while taking ownership of the local access strategy.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure that all solutions are supportable.
  • Assist in solution and service project initiation to ensure success and assist with further documentation of bespoke customer solutions working alongside project management as required.
  • Maintain and develop your technical knowledge, enabling you to improve and innovate technical designs and solutions continually.
  • Provide the sales team with technical training, making them more effective.
  • Contribute to network design and architecture.
  • Develop relationships with local access network providers globally.

You Will Have The Following Strengths:

  • Experience in designing solutions in one or more of the following technology domains
  • Global Telecommunications
  • Video IP delivery and Data Transmission - Contribution and Distribution
  • Broadcast services, Sports, and Event Broadcasting
  • An excellent working knowledge of telecommunications service providers' products, technologies, markets, and business models.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with highly technical solutions, comprehend customer requirements, and document those requirements.
  • Expertise in video media processing (encoding/decoding) with a solid understanding of industry standard codecs, including MPEG, JPEG 2000, and JPEG XS.
  • Familiarity with transmission and monitoring equipment usage, including encoders, decoders, video routers, DAs, IP gateways, multiviewers, and transport stream monitoring
  • Knowledge of the Net Insight portfolio, including experience on the MSR platform, is highly advantageous.
  • A working knowledge of Broadcast environments, workflows, and Broadcast IP technologies, including SMTPE standards, switching, routing, and multicast.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Visio or CAD applications for solution design.
  • Experience in Office 365 or G-Suite, with excellent working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new tools and emerging technologies.
  • 4+ Years working as a Sales Engineer, Network Engineer or similar, ideally educated to a degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent listening skills, with the ability to articulate how our solution can meet the needs of prospects and customers’ requirements.
  • Ability to present complex technical solutions in a simplified manner that articulates benefits and solutions to stakeholders of different technical backgrounds. As well as being comfortable presenting to top management and senior executives.
  • Excellent skills in oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Self-motivated and organised individual up for the challenge of a start-up environment
