Overview

An exciting opportunity to join a well-established, family-run business in Spalding as a Sales Engineer. This full-time, permanent role suits someone with a strong sales background, ideally within an engineering environment, who enjoys combining technical knowledge with client-facing work. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise to support the sale of complex products and services, guiding clients from initial enquiry to final sale.
  • Work independently to manage your sales pipeline and contribute to driving business growth.
  • Travel to meet prospects and conduct site surveys.
  • Prepare detailed quotations and technical reports.
  • Create and analyse tenders.
  • Forecast and analyse sales targets.
  • Negotiate and finalise sales, including terms and conditions.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record in sales with experience managing your own diary.
  • Ideally, previous experience within the engineering sector/environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to produce reports and work with CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Full UK driving licence.
