Employee Wellbeing is a priority for us, so all employees and their family have access to our EAP service. We have subsidised Gym membership, Life assurance and Group income protection.

A Bit About The Role

Reporting Structure & Industry Expertise

Reporting to the SVP of Global Sales – AdTech, with a dotted-line to the VP of Sales EMEA – AdTech, this role requires a technically adept professional with deep expertise in the Advertising Technology space. You bring hands-on experience in media workflows, ideally from within the television or broader media industry, and a strong working knowledge of the Imagine Landmark Sales solution—a critical qualification for success in this position.

Customer Engagement & Solution Delivery

As a Sales Engineer, you will lead technical presentations and demonstrations of our AdTech solutions to a range of stakeholders—from C-level executives and subject-matter experts to operational end-users. Your ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts and value propositions is essential in driving solution adoption and sales success.

Internal Collaboration & Strategic Contribution

This position demands close collaboration with cross-functional teams and alignment with sales leadership to ensure strategic consistency. You will be responsible for developing compelling pitch materials, maintaining solution databases, and providing pre-sales support that aligns with client goals and business outcomes.

Work Style & Regional Travel

You thrive in both collaborative team environments and when working independently. The role requires flexibility and a proactive mindset, with the expectation of regular travel across the EMEA region to engage directly with media and broadcast organizations at all levels of their operation.

Presentation Skills & Presence

Strong public speaking skills and the ability to confidently "own the room" are vital. Your presence, both in-person and virtual, will influence decision-makers and help drive meaningful business conversations around our AdTech offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-sales technical expertise to Executive Sales and Regional Sales Managers, supporting them through the solution development cycle while they lead sales opportunities and commercial negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Imagine Communications' product portfolio, with a focus on effectively positioning solutions to meet customer needs and industry workflows.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities through direct customer engagement, qualify leads, and track progress using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  • Take ownership of responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals), ensuring technical compliance, alignment with customer requirements, and clear articulation of value.
  • Collaborate with Product Line Managers and cross-functional teams to define and execute strategies that help secure new business.
  • Collaborate with VP, AdTech Strategy on solution architecture, pitch-strategies, and presentation workflow to align with Sales leadership
  • Ensure key accounts are consistently informed about the full range of Imagine’s products, solutions, and roadmap developments.
  • Respond to product-related inquiries, providing consultative guidance on functionality, compatibility, and systems integration best practices.
  • Design, prepare, and deliver tailored solution demonstrations—both remotely and in-person—to various stakeholders, including technical teams and executive decision-makers.
  • Lead or support the planning and execution of technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs), ensuring measurable success criteria and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current on media industry and broadcast technology trends, competitive offerings, and market developments within the EMEA region.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of broadcast and media-specific terminology, workflows, and infrastructure (e.g., playout, traffic, ad sales, rights and scheduling, and IP-based systems).
  • Collaborate with Product Management teams to provide structured feedback on product performance, customer use cases, and feature enhancement opportunities.
  • Represent Imagine at industry events, trade shows, and customer forums as needed, including booth setup, demonstrations, and technical discussions.
  • Maintain, configure, and update demo systems and environments to reflect the latest product features and integrations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the EMEA region, often on short notice, to meet with clients and support field engagements.
  • Depending on experience, this position may offer a management opportunity with other sales engineers in other Imagine markets and product lines.
About You

Communication Skills

  • Technical-to-Non-Technical Translation: Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders like executives, producers, or creative leads.
  • Active Listening: Truly hearing the client’s challenges and tailoring solutions accordingly.
  • Presentation Skills: Comfortable leading demos, workshops, and client meetings with confidence and clarity.

Relationship Building

  • Customer Empathy: Understanding the unique pain points and workflows of media clients (e.g., broadcasters, digital publishers).
  • Trust Building: Becoming a credible advisor, not just a product expert.
  • Long-Term Engagement: Helping nurture relationships that extend beyond the initial sale.

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Cross-Functional Communication: Partnering smoothly with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support teams.
  • Feedback Looping: Being the voice of the customer to internal teams—translating field feedback into product or solution enhancements.

Adaptability & Poise

  • Composure Under Pressure: Handling tough questions or unexpected technical issues during demos without losing confidence.
  • Flexibility: Adapting messaging or approach based on the audience—whether you’re speaking with a CTO, ad ops specialist, or a broadcast engineer.

Persuasion & Influence

  • Solution Selling Mindset: Framing the technology in terms of business value, media-specific ROI, and audience impact.
  • Handling Objections: Addressing concerns constructively while steering the conversation forward.

Cultural Awareness

  • Particularly important in EMEA or global roles—being mindful of regional business norms, communication styles, and media landscape variations.
