Are you a technically minded sales engineer with experience in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)? This is a rare opportunity to join a long-established supplier of precision consumables and technical solutions, supporting some of the most demanding manufacturing environments in the UK.

The Role: We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to support and grow a customer base within the EDM machining and tooling sector. You’ll be responsible for advising on the application of specialist materials, components, and consumables used in wire and spark erosion processes — working closely with production engineers, toolmakers, and purchasing teams to deliver value and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and grow relationships with EDM users across toolmaking, aerospace, automotive, medical, and precision engineering sectors as a Sales Engineer
2. Provide technical support on graphite, copper, brass, wire, and other erosion-related materials
3. Recommend tailored solutions to meet demanding machining tolerances and production requirements
4. Generate quotations, conduct on-site visits, and maintain strong customer service standards
5. Identify new opportunities and work closely with internal teams to meet demand efficiently

You’ll Need:

1. Technical sales experience in EDM or precision manufacturing environments as a sales engineer
2. Solid understanding of EDM processes (wire erosion, die-sinking, and the materials involved)
3. Ability to read technical drawings and communicate machining needs effectively
4. A proactive, customer-focused approach with strong commercial awareness as a sales engineer
5. Engineering qualification or relevant hands-on experience (toolroom or applications background desirable)
