Job description

A new Sales Engineer opportunity is available with my client who is a well-established leading manufacturer of industrial furnaces and kilns solutions as well as associated equipment. They also offer relocation, refurbishment, repairs, and maintenance and are used within a wide range of industries. Their ideal candidate will have proven technical sales experience to be the technical hook-up between the Sales and Engineering teams.


Sales Engineer Role:

The successful Sales Engineer will be office-based, report to the Sales Director, and be responsible for:

  1. Developing new business and existing customers - End Users and OEMs mainly in the aerospace & defence, forgings, and heat treatment industries.
  2. Conducting site visits with existing and potential clients.
  3. Preparing and submitting quotations.
  4. Providing pre-sales technical support on a range of products including Furnaces, Kilns, and associated equipment.
  5. Coordinating sales project requirements and liaising with various engineering departments.
  6. Occasional travel throughout the UK with some overseas travel.

Sales Engineer Requirements:
  1. Educated to a relevant engineering discipline.
  2. Proven experience with furnaces, kilns, process engineering, instrumentation, automation, or materials handling.
  3. Ability to combine technical knowledge and sales skills to offer the best solutions to clients mainly in the aerospace & defence, forgings, heat treatment, automotive, electronics, chemicals, and oil industries.
  4. Valid UK driving license.
