The purpose of the Sales Director is to ensure delivery of new business revenue and profit margin against the expectations of the UK budget and medium-term plan.

The Sales Director will play a crucial role in facilitating and guiding the strategic direction of the services offered to ensure the business is the "go-to" company for digital products.

In addition, the Sales Director role will be crucial in ensuring the sales team is capable to meet the expectations of our budget and medium-term plan. This includes coaching, mentoring, and training the sales team and facilitating collaboration with the wider Digital Solutions teams from France and other regions.

Snapshot summary of what you'll be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining a pipeline of quality prospects to ensure sales targets are achieved.
  • Ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service, striving to exceed expectations.
  • Promoting a culture of right first time to give customers the best possible experience.
  • Meeting regularly with key customers to build positive relationships and understand their needs for long-term contracts/partnerships.
  • Maintaining dialogue with engineering and operational managers to align commercial activities with operational constraints and opportunities.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of new business and positive customer experiences.
  • Fostering positive relationships across divisions to achieve business growth and profitability.
  • Sharing information across regions and monitoring competitor activities and industry changes.

We're ideally looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive post-degree experience in sales and business development, particularly in software sales.
  • Knowledge of optimization techniques applied to water and wastewater systems.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams to meet targets.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with proven negotiation skills and success in customer acquisition and expansion.
  • Ability to identify multiple business drivers relevant to market development.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements in a competitive environment.
  • Experience managing service levels, customer expectations, loyalty, and profits for both external and internal clients.
  • Ability to collaborate across internal and external value chains.
  • Strategic and lateral thinking with excellent communication, presentation, and selling skills.

This is a remote position across the UK with travel requirements throughout the region.
