A leading technology-driven consulting firm is seeking an experienced Microsoft Business Applications Sales Director to drive revenue growth, lead strategic go-to-market (GTM) initiatives, and strengthen relationships with Microsoft and enterprise clients across the UK.
This senior role plays a pivotal part in shaping the pre-sales and business development strategy, delivering compelling value propositions, and positioning Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform at the heart of digital transformation journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of a GTM and pre-sales strategy aligned to Microsoft Business Applications and broader business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse market trends, identify competitive gaps, and develop winning themes.
- Qualify leads, conduct discovery workshops, and steer early-stage engagements to understand client needs and align solutions to Microsoft and industry best practices.
- Leverage a strong professional network to generate new business opportunities.
- Oversee the creation of high-impact responses to RFI/RFP processes.
- Build and nurture trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, identifying key pain points and aligning them with innovative Microsoft solutions.
- Design and present scalable, cutting-edge Microsoft Business Applications solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Act as the gold standard during sales presentations, combining deep technical expertise with strong business acumen.
- Drive partnership engagement with Microsoft—collaborating closely with product specialists, partner teams, and industry leads.
- Continuously improve pre-sales processes and drive efficiencies across the team.
- Conduct in-depth competitor analysis to evolve the organisation’s competitive edge.
- Elevate brand visibility within the UK&I market through thought leadership and client engagement.
- Align internal solution capabilities to evolving client demands and GTM priorities.
- Deliver product demonstrations, technical briefings, and proof of concepts that inspire client confidence.
- Represent the organisation at key events, conferences, and in-person client meetings.
What You’ll Bring:
- 7+ years of experience in business development, pre-sales, or solution architecture within the Microsoft Business Applications ecosystem.
- A robust understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Customer Service, Sales, Customer Insights) and the Power Platform, with knowledge of Copilot integration.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to engage confidently at C-suite level.
- An established network within the Microsoft community and experience working with enterprise customers.
- Proven ability to lead pre-sales engagements and manage vendor partnerships with Microsoft.
- A commercial and innovative mindset, passionate about revenue growth and client value creation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of how to turn complex business requirements into scalable, Microsoft-driven solutions.
- Experience with licensing models, agile delivery methods, and project governance.
- Microsoft certifications are highly advantageous
