Our Team

Molex Aerospace & Defense Solutions is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Sales Director to lead business development and customer engagement in the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) sector in Europe and the Middle East. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of industry focused account managers, identifying growth opportunities, developing key customer relationships, and driving revenue across targeted defense, space and commercial aerospace programs.

What You Will Do

  • Strategic Sales Leadership:
    Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue goals within the aerospace and defense market, including OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and government contractors.
  • Talent Management:
    Develop, mentor and motivate a team of professional sales engineers and account managers responsible for products that serve the defense, space and commercial aerospace markets to achieve growth performance that outpaces the market.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key accounts, including defense agencies, integrators, and commercial aerospace companies.
  • Market Development:
    Identify emerging trends, market shifts, and new program opportunities; assess competitive landscape and collaborate with product and engineering teams to position offerings effectively.
  • Proposal and Contract Management:
    Lead the development of compelling proposals, negotiate complex contracts, and manage the bid and capture process for both domestic and international opportunities.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, legal, and finance to ensure delivery of customized solutions aligned with customer needs and program requirements.
  • Forecasting and Reporting:
    Maintain a robust sales pipeline, deliver accurate forecasts, and report performance metrics to executive leadership on a regular basis.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in sales or business development, with knowledge in the aerospace and defense sector.
  • Successful history managing remotely located sales teams of account managers and sales engineers that drive profitable growth through securing print position and design wins on major program and applications.
  • Deep knowledge of government procurement processes, compliance regulations, and defense acquisition cycles.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-million-dollar contracts and long sales cycles.
  • Strong network within aerospace primes, defense contractors, and government agencies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Technical background in aerospace systems, defense electronics, or mission-critical components.
  • Familiarity with export compliance and regulations pertaining to aerospace and defense.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and proposal tools.
