Sales Director - Adviser Technology

To support our ambitious growth plans, we are looking for an experienced and strategic Sales Director to lead the sales efforts across our suite of technology solutions tailored for the UK retail financial advice market.

Role Overview

In this leadership role, you will integrate sales teams from our acquired businesses, optimize sales processes, and drive revenue growth as the P&L owner. A deep understanding of the retail financial advice market combined with a strong background in technology sales—preferably within fintech or SaaS sectors—will be key to your success.

As Sales Director, you will:

  1. Work closely with the CSO, senior leadership team, and other stakeholders to design and lead the integration of the existing Defaqto adviser sales teams with acquired businesses.
  2. Design and implement efficient sales systems, tools, and processes to streamline operations, improve team productivity, and support scalability.
  3. Leverage technology to optimize sales workflows, enhance reporting capabilities, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  4. Own the revenue targets for the combined businesses and technology products aimed at the retail financial advice market.
  5. Develop and execute a data-driven sales strategy aligned with business objectives and market targets.
  6. Create and implement cross-sell and upsell strategies to maximize revenue within the retail financial adviser space.
  7. Build and nurture consultative relationships with key clients, including senior financial advisers, wealth management firms, and financial planning teams.
  8. Track and report on key sales metrics such as revenue, pipeline health, and team productivity.
  9. Collaborate with product development, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies. Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new sales talent.

This role offers a hybrid working model, with your base in our London or Haddenham offices, along with the flexibility to travel to clients nationwide as required.
