A well-established family-run company in Manchester is seeking a Sales Director to oversee business development. This role includes managing a dispersed team and requires a strong background in sales, particularly in the warehousing and transport sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading successful deals and strategy formulation for future growth.

Some internal moves have created space for hiring a new Sales Director who will manage the entire end-to-end business development cycle, via a team, from lead generation through to tenders/proposals, relationship management and KAM.
It is a national business so your team with be geographically dispersed.
You will mix hands-one leadership and customer management with longer term commercial strategy, reporting directly to the CEO.
Clearly, a background in sales and business development within the warehousing and transport sector is a must. You will have led and closed deals in excess of 5m, and be able to show evidence of team creation & building.
The company is growing and has a very promising and sustainable plan for its future.
