Overview

We are recruiting for a world leading manufacturer in their field. The role of Sales Director will lead this part of the business and help with the strategy for the whole business moving forward. The role will be focused on managing Sales Managers who each have teams of 5-7 people.

Responsibilities
  • Team Development and Team Leadership - Employ leadership techniques to lead, motivate and develop the technical sales team to ensure each individual maximises their potential in doing so achieves our business objectives in line with our values and market approach.
  • Product & Service Development - Drives the development of the technical sales proposition of new and existing products to enable market acceptance of a full system route to market approach to achieve forecasted sales targets
  • Forecasting - Facilitate the exchange of information between customers, specification teams and other departments so that up-to-date information is available to all parties and a serviceable balance of supply and demand is maintained
  • Market Management - Coordinate the development of account plans in line with the sales/technical strategy, including the negotiation of trading terms, to deliver the best possible balance of volume, product mix and profitability
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a sales management leader and of managing a field-based sales team
  • Experience in Specification within the construction sector
  • Proven experience of working with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communications skills

  • Ability to deliver under pressure or in uncertain environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Business process & systems knowledge e.g. SAP / C4C experience / S&OP
