Overview

Business Development Manager - Reading

Our Client is an international software consultancy who are looking to recruit a New Business Development Manager with at least 7 – 10 years expertise in sales and business development.

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for selling software solutions in the Product Software Engineering Services Space (Analytics, Cloud, Web applications, Mobility, ER&D).
  • Coordinate sales efforts across a cross-functional team, mapping and interacting with CTOs and VP-Engineering.
  • Develop and execute strategies to generate leads and close deals, with a strong focus on new customer acquisition.
  • Maintain a sound understanding of the UK and Europe market and leverage this to bring clients.
Qualifications
  • Must have 7–10 years of experience in sales and business development.
  • Must have a degree with at least the last 4-5 years selling software solutions in the Product Engineering space.
  • Experience selling to Software Product companies (ISVs and platforms) and ER&D (Storage, Networking, Automotive and Consumer Electronics).
  • Strong track record in acquiring a new customer base with strong negotiation skills and advanced sales knowledge.
  • Comfortable working with executive management and able to articulate strategy, solutions and services.
  • Analytical and negotiation skills; ability to synthesize complex technical, business, and legal issues to solve problems and execute action plans.
  • Knowledge of market trends, industry participants, new technologies and business models.
  • Based in Reading, United Kingdom with travel to the UK or Europe as needed.
