The Role:

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (Portuguese Speaking) to join our growing Commercial team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities across Portuguese-speaking markets, with a strong focus on clients within the Retail, Supply Chain, and FMCG sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to join a mission-driven business that's scaling rapidly and making a real impact in emerging markets.

You will act as the first point of contact for potential clients, playing a critical role in generating leads and driving early-stage pipeline growth. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills in both Portuguese and English, a good understanding of the FMCG value chain, and experience selling or working with retail or supply chain solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Development & Lead Generation:

  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities via phone, email, and social channels to engage potential clients in Portuguese-speaking markets.
  • Qualify leads through structured discovery calls and research, ensuring alignment with RedCloud’s value proposition.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives and Marketing to develop strategic outreach plans.
  • Manage and update CRM systems with accurate and timely information on prospect interactions.

Market Expertise & Client Understanding:

  • Leverage your understanding of FMCG, retail, and supply chain environments to identify business pain points and present RedCloud's platform as the solution.
  • Stay informed about market trends, industry challenges, and competitor movements in emerging Portuguese-speaking economies.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Provide feedback to the Product and Marketing teams on customer needs, pain points, and emerging trends.
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of our sales process and messaging strategies.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and verbal.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Sales Development, Lead Generation, or Business Development role.
  • Background or strong understanding of the Retail, FMCG, or Supply Chain sectors.
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in or selling into emerging markets.
  • Understanding of commerce or trade platforms and digital transformation within FMCG.
  • Exposure to remote, multi-cultural teams or international B2B sales environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology to improve efficiency and ensure scalability (AI and Agentic tools)

  • Team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally.
