About the Role

Are you an experienced horticultural sales professional with knowledge of fertilisers in the agricultural and horticultural industries? Do you have your FACTS qualification or are you willing to study towards it?

The Company

An established fertiliser manufacturing business.

The Job

We are looking for a motivated Sales Developer to grow and support their customer base, focusing on the horticultural sector. Responsibilities include developing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and providing expert advice on fertiliser and plant nutrition products.

Location

Home-based role covering Northern England and Scotland, with travel to customers as required.

Salary

£45,000 - £50,000 basic salary depending on experience + Car or Car Allowance + Bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and develop existing customer accounts using interpersonal skills.
  2. Proactively seek and secure new sales accounts, primarily in horticulture.
  3. Provide technical advice on fertilisers and plant nutrition, and develop technical knowledge.
  4. Manage the company's social media presence.
  5. Coordinate with staff to meet customer expectations and deliver high customer service.
  6. Report to the Sales Manager.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Knowledge of horticultural or agricultural fertiliser practices and interest in the amenity sector.
  2. Experience in sales, preferably in fertilisers or related products.
  3. Self-motivated and proactive.
  4. Willing to study towards FACTS qualification if not already qualified.
  5. Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
  6. Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel domestically.
