Job description

A boutique studio is looking for a Sales Design Consultant to take ownership of client relationships from initial consultation through to project delivery. You will combine client engagement, design development, supplier liaison, and sales progression within a premium practice.

This role is ideal for a confident and detail-oriented professional with a commercial mindset. You'll combine technical expertise with a flair for presentation and client service, working directly on high-value interiors, kitchens, and bespoke fitouts within a dynamic, design-led environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing concept and technical designs for kitchens, interiors, and bespoke joinery using Winner and SketchUp.
• Assisting in developing architectural drawings for refurbishments, extensions, and internal layouts using Revit.
• Supporting the production of lighting and electrical layout plans in Revit, with training and supervision.
• Generating high-quality CGI visualisations using Lumion (training provided).
• Attending client consultations and project briefings, supporting creative development and technical interpretation.
• Guiding clients through the full design and proposal journey—from concept to quotation acceptance and purchase decisions.
• Maintaining consistent client communication throughout the project lifecycle to ensure satisfaction and engagement.
• Participating in progress meetings, identifying issues early, and reporting to the Studio Director.
• Liaising professionally with external suppliers, manufacturers, and trades.
• Documenting design specifications, pricing, and revisions in the studio's CRM and file systems.
• Supporting scheduling, project administration, and studio operations under the Studio Director's guidance.
• Contributing to a welcoming, professional studio environment, including client hospitality and presentation standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in SketchUp is essential; full training in Winner, Revit, and Lumion will be provided.
• Strong aptitude for spatial planning, visual balance, and technical layouts.
• Commercial awareness with a confident, consultative approach to client engagement and sales.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable with client-facing and supplier interactions.
• Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a premium studio and high-net-worth clients.
• Highly organized, deadline-conscious, and detail-oriented.
• Proactive, adaptable, and capable of contributing to various project phases.
• Willingness to participate in studio operations, including presentation standards and client care.
• Full UK driving license (essential); occasional travel to project sites and meetings required.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00. Flexibility for Saturdays, Sundays, or extended hours may be required. Salary ranges from GBP 27,000 to GBP 30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
