Located in Hastings, the successful apprentice will be working with leading experts to develop their skills and knowledge within data management and sales!
The Package- Starting salary: £18,000 per annum (increasing to National Minimum/Living Wage after 12 months if applicable)
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm with 1hr lunch break

What will I be doing as a Technical Sales Estimator Apprentice?
In this role, you will speak with customers and clients on a daily basis, answering technical enquiries both on the phone and in writing, processing stock enquiries via the in-house computer system, preparing quotations and take-offs and managing the call off schedules for projects.
This is an office based full time role and the successful apprentice will have a full in-house training programme to enable them to handle a range of project enquiries and to manage live projects both in terms of commercial and technical aspects.
- Gain good product knowledge of the types of cladding materials and fixing systems available to be able to give sound technical advice to customers.
- To communicate with architects, specifiers, contractors and others with a pleasant, professional telephone manner and via computer/ email ensuring correct sales procedures are followed.
- Deal promptly and efficiently with customer enquiries regarding the processing of their orders, quotations, enquiries and other administrative tasks relating to the Sales and Customer Service processes, Technical and Quotation processes.
- Process technical and estimating enquiries received by telephone, e-mail or videocall, ensuring that all enquiries and quotations are processed in a timely fashion.
- Complete take offs and prepare quotations using Architectural drawing package to include plans, elevations, sections, & details that have been sent into the company. Convert quotation to order and highlight programmes and lead times to customer
- Process sales orders and liaise with the operations team with regards to production, fabrication and delivery requirements.
- Project manage customer orders once placed to ensure on time in full deliveries in line with customer programmes.
- Organise literature and product samples as required.
- Provide support to the external sales and technical teams as required.
- Complete any ad-hoc or project related duties requested by the Estimating Manager.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
About You
We’re looking for someone who is tech savvy, loves analysing data, finding patterns and extracting stories from that data!
You'll be someone who is customer-focused, with the ability to build strong working relationships. You'll curious, analytical, and detail-driven. A confident approach to speaking with customers over the phone, email and in person is a must.
You'll need to be motivated to learn, resilient, enjoy problem solving and be able to think on your feet whilst juggling multiple responsibilities.
If you hold previous experience in customer service, sales or administration - even better!
Please note, for this position you must be aged 18+ and able to reliably commute to site within 45 minutes.

So how does the apprenticeship work?
At Tiro we’re obsessed with changing lives through science and technology apprenticeships so we can’t wait to have you on board.
Over 15 months, you’ll devote a minimum of 6 hours of your working week on ‘off the job’ training. This can include theory training (for example, virtual lessons & online learning), alongside practical training (for example shadowing, mentoring, & time spent writing assignments. Together this will count towards a Level 3 Data Driven Professionals apprenticeship. You’ll be trained by an expert tutor from Tiro as well as an experienced mentor at Petrarch Panels who together, will make sure you develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits you’ll need to succeed in your career. Being an apprentice is hands-on, so you’ll get the chance to learn things you might otherwise not have experienced in a university or college environment.
The best part? You’ll be earning a salary while you gain your qualifications, meaning no huge student loans to pay back at the end of the programme!
Eligibility
While we never want to hinder your job application process with obstacles, there are some minimum requirements you’ll need to meet in order to do an apprenticeship, these are rules set by the UK Government.
As a training provider, we are committed to ensuring that our apprenticeship programs deliver significant new knowledge and skills. To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate that the program will provide learning and experiences beyond their current qualifications and professional expertise.
If you already hold a Level 3, degree or equivalent higher-level qualification in a closely related field, or possess substantial relevant experience, you may not be eligible for apprenticeship funding, as these programmes are designed for individuals who require upskilling or reskilling in their chosen career pathway.
You’ll need to be over 18, not in full time education, have lived in the UK for 3 years and have the right to work in the UK.
