Sales Coordinator (Bagging) at Southampton Sales Office

Main purpose of job is to support Head of National & Merchant sales and Sales team with customers queries, handling incoming calls and emails and order processing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Be the first point of contact for new and existing customers by handling incoming customer calls and email enquiries
2. Build and maintain positive business relationships, both internally and externally
3. Resolve customer queries, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
4. Sourcing & pricing of materials
5. Creation, amendment, follow up & closure of quotations in our CRM system
6. Order processing
7. Supporting field sales representatives as required

Other duties

1. Preparation and posting of material samples
2. Offering support to other members of the department when required

Person Specification

1. Previous experience in sales position preferably with a background in Building or Construction Industry
2. Good working knowledge of IT systems and applications, including MS Outlook, Word and Excel
3. Be highly organised with good attention to detail
4. Have a proactive and positive attitude
5. Be a confident and effective communicator, both written and verbally
6. Works well as part of a team, but equally capable of managing own time and workload
7. Knowledge of building/construction materials and aggregates would be beneficial but is not essential
8. Enthusiastic, with appetite to learn

Working times/hours: 42.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday 0800 – 1700, including 30 minutes unpaid for lunch.

Package is: annual salary plus the 9% employer pension contribution with Scottish Widows. You may be entitled to the discretionary Annual and Christmas bonuses. Annual leave of 29 days per year, including 8 Bank Holidays.
