Job description

We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our Surgical Technologies Sales team covering South & Midlands of the UK.

In this role, you will work closely with an experienced Regional Sales Manager to develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders, support customer education, and assist in achieving greater customer engagement and commercial success with our Neptune Portfolio. You will actively pursue business opportunities in targeted accounts, providing exemplary customer service and maintaining a patient-focused approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing skills to become an effective sales representative.
  2. Driving compliance to current contracts in collaboration with the sales team.
  3. Growing sales volume in a defined territory through the Surgical Technologies portfolio, focusing on brands like Neptune and Safe Air.
  4. Managing key accounts and handling operational aspects such as stock issues, instrument requirements, loan kits, and customer training.
  5. Supporting other sales managers to focus on new business development.

This position is primarily a training role with the potential to become a full-time Sales Representative with independent targets. Initial targets will be milestone-based, with bonuses linked to regional achievement.

Additional key accountabilities:

  1. Managing a territory effectively and aligning with national sales objectives.
  2. Conducting training sessions and workshops for hospital staff on product use.
  3. Understanding customer needs to promote and sell Stryker products, utilizing basic selling, presentation, and negotiation techniques.
  4. Managing product provision channels such as consignment and loan services to meet customer needs.
  5. Providing excellent customer service within hospitals, building relationships with key personnel.
  6. Ensuring all product recommendations prioritize patient safety and appropriate medical care.
  7. Collaborating with team members and attending educational events to enhance product knowledge and customer engagement.
  8. Maintaining professional ethics and representing Stryker positively.
  9. Conducting product trials and evaluations as needed.
  10. Recording customer details and developing business plans to prioritize activities and grow business.

Job Requirements:

  • Sales or business experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Commercial awareness and customer engagement skills are beneficial.
  • Proficiency in presentation skills and familiarity with modern presentation media.
  • An interest in anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to engage, influence, motivate, and work diligently.
