As a Sales Associate, you are an essential part of a team that creates the extraordinary experiences our customers expect from Selfridges.
Customer service is at the heart of what you do. You will be an expert on all things Selfridges and the go-to person to help our customers. You will be fully knowledgeable about everything in the store, including the latest products, events, and services that only Selfridges can offer.
Responsibilities of a Sales Associate:
- Work as part of a team focused on creating a memorable customer experience by building rapport, sharing product knowledge, and catering to customer needs.
- Conduct sales, refunds, and exchanges, helping customers find suitable alternatives or guiding them to our online services.
- Maintain retail standards by selling, replenishing stock, organizing rails, and hosting.
- Be receptive to customer feedback and use it to improve service, sales, and retail standards.
- Manage stock in your department, including unpacking deliveries, completing audits, and maintaining the stock room.
- Adapt to daily challenges; the role may require working in different departments, bringing your service excellence and collaborative spirit.
- Stay ahead of the latest trends by expanding your product and competitor knowledge.
- Follow health, safety, and security procedures and actively prevent stock loss.
- Support the interview process with competency and strength-based questions; assistance is available at every stage.

- Excellent communicator capable of engaging positively with all customer types, both domestic and international.
- Well-informed about products, trends, and competitors; participates in supplier training.
- A sales and service expert, proactive in providing additional services where appropriate.
- Responsible for replenishing stock, maintaining standards, and inspiring others.
- Problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues effectively and adapt approaches per individual needs.
