Sales Associate - Beauty Workshop, Hair (Full-time)

Job Introduction

As a Sales Associate, you are an essential part of a team that creates the extraordinary experiences our customers expect from Selfridges.

Customer service is at the heart of what you do. You will be an expert on all things Selfridges and the go-to person to help our customers. You are fully knowledgeable about the store, including the latest products, events, and services that only Selfridges can offer.

Responsibilities
  1. Work as part of a team focused on creating a memorable customer experience by building rapport, sharing product knowledge, and catering to customer needs.
  2. Conduct sales, refunds, and exchanges, helping the customer find suitable alternatives or directing them to our online services.
  3. Maintain high retail standards through selling, replenishing stock, organizing rails, and hosting.
  4. Be receptive to customer feedback and use it to improve service, sales, and standards.
  5. Manage stock in your department, including unpacking deliveries, conducting audits, and maintaining the stockroom.
  6. Adapt to daily challenges and be flexible to work across different departments, bringing your service excellence and collaborative spirit.
  7. Stay ahead of trends by expanding your product and competitor knowledge.
  8. Follow health, safety, and security procedures and actively prevent stock loss.
  9. Support the interview process with competency and strength-based questions, with assistance available as needed.
About You
  1. Excellent communicator, able to positively engage with diverse customers.
  2. Well-informed about products, trends, and competitors, with a willingness to learn through training.
  3. Experienced in sales and customer service, proactive in providing additional services.
  4. Capable of replenishing stock, maintaining standards, and inspiring others.
  5. Problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues and adapt approaches.
  6. Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and willing to take on additional tasks.
  7. Reliable and respected colleague, embodying our values.
Hair Styling Experience/Knowledge Required

This role requires flexibility and a willingness to undertake various tasks as needed by the business.
