Fabric Sales Associate - North London

Location: Edmonton, North London
Job Type: Full Time (including 1 Sunday per month)
Salary: £30,000-£33,000 per annum (OTE up to £35,000+)

Our client, a leading UK B2B fabric wholesaler with over 140 years of heritage, is seeking a personable and detail-oriented Fabric Sales Associate to join their growing team. Trusted by retailers, designers, and makers across the fashion and craft sectors, they are currently undergoing an exciting rebrand and digital transformation. The Role

As a Fabric Sales Associate, you will be the first point of contact for small maker and independent designer clients. Your role combines hands-on product guidance in the showroom, excellent customer service, and proactive support of new business development. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless, engaging customer journey from enquiry to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Support & Relationship Management:
    Welcome and assist walk-in customers, providing expert guidance on fabric selection. Build long-lasting relationships and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

  • Sales & Revenue Generation:
    Drive growth within the maker customer segment by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

  • Inbound Communications:
    Respond to inbound queries via phone, email, and in person, ensuring timely and professional support.

  • Market Feedback & Insight:
    Collect and report on customer feedback and market trends to influence product development and strategy.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with internal teams-Buying, Marketing, and Warehouse-to maintain seamless customer service and aligned strategies.

What You'll Bring

Working Hours
  • Monday-Thursday: 9:00am - 5:30pm

  • Friday:
    * 9:00am - 3:30pm (winter months)
    * 9:00am - 4:30pm (summer months)

  • One Sunday per month: 8:30am - 3:00pm (no additional weekend expectations)

Salary & Bonus Structure
  • Base salary: £30,000-£33,000 per annum

  • Performance Bonus: Up to £2,000-£3,000+ annually (paid at year-end, post 6-month probation)
    * Based on % increase from total sales within the maker segment

  • OTE: £32,000-£35,000+, negotiable based on experience
