Warrenders Jewellers, supporting the work of the Jeweller since 2006, is seeking a Sales Assistant to join their team at 4-6 Cheam Road, Sutton SM1 1SR. The role focuses on ecommerce, supporting in-store sales, and customer service. Experience in ecommerce, a passion for jewellery, and a willingness to learn are preferred. Jewellery knowledge is a plus but not essential; training will be provided.

About the Candidate

This position suits someone eager to develop ecommerce skills and jewellery knowledge. The ideal candidate will have understanding of ecommerce, strong IT skills including photography and videography, and enthusiasm to learn. They should be organized, well-presented, trustworthy, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities

Ecommerce

• Upload stock items onto the Warrenders website and Etsy, ensuring accuracy and informativeness.
• Photograph/video stock for online upload and support sales, valuations, and marketing.
• Add product information to stock records to improve SEO and detail.
• Audit online products regularly and upload new stock as stocked.
• Process online sales, liaising with customers, ensuring security checks, and managing dispatch.
• Promote and develop the website and Etsy to increase traffic and sales.

Customer Service

• Attend to customer needs, aiming for satisfaction through sales, repairs, and valuations.
• Create sales opportunities proactively and creatively.
• Design attractive window and cabinet displays to entice customers.
• Maintain stock cleanliness and presentation to enhance sales appeal.

Contract

Part-time or full-time (3-5 days), including Saturdays.

Salary

From £27,000 per annum full-time, or pro-rata for part-time (£16,200 for 3 days/week or £21,600 for 4 days/week). Salary depends on experience and qualifications.
