Job summary

Poundland is hiring a Seasonal Sales Assistant to brighten the festive shopping period. You’ll help on the shop floor, restock shelves, assist customers, support deliveries, and keep tills running smoothly in a friendly, fast-paced team.

This role starts soon and runs until the end of December, with shift flexibility to meet store needs. Training is provided, and you’ll enjoy a welcoming environment with discounts and staff benefits as part of the team effort to make this the most wonderful time

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is a bonus, but not required.
• We provide training to help you shine during the peak season.

Responsibilities

• Keep shelves stocked and well presented on the shop floor.
• Deliver friendly, practical customer service at the tills and on the floor.
• Support deliveries and help maintain a safe, tidy store environment.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily operations during peaks.
• Adapt to different shifts as store needs require.

About The Role

Join us at Poundland during this festive period as a Seasonal Sales Assistant and help make the most magical shopping season of the year even brighter for our customers.

As one of Poundland's Elves on the shop floor, you’ll be a festive ambassador for our brand, creating a warm, welcoming, and merry shopping experience every day. You’ll be part of a friendly and energetic team, keeping shelves stocked with all those essential items, delivering fantastic customer service, supporting deliveries, ensuring the checkouts run smoothly, and helping maintain a safe, tidy, and cheerful store environment. We're looking for team players with a positive, can-do attitude and a friendly approach. Good organisation and attention to detail, especially when working on the tills, are essential. Previous retail or customer service experience is a bonus, but not a requirement. We’ll provide all the training you need to help you shine, because every member of our team plays an important part in making this, the most wonderful time of the year, a success.

This role will start soon and last until the end of December, and we may require you to work different shifts based on store needs, therefore flexibility is key.
