Job summary

Smyths Toys Superstores in Blackburn is looking for a Sales Assistant to join our expanding team. You will deliver high levels of customer service, help customers find products, and work on tills in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary contract with hourly pay rates of £12.90 for over 21 and £11 for under 21.

Flexible weekend availability is preferred as stores open seven days a week. Previous retail experience is welcome but not essential; training will be provided to help you keep

This is a temporary contract, with a rate of pay of £12.90 per hour for over 21 and £11.00 per hour for under 21.

Responsibilities

Provide a high level of customer service

Ascertain customers’ needs and wants

Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team

Keep the store clean and tidy

Pack shelves and merchandise

Work delivery and complete price changes

Work on the tills

Learn about and keep up to date with our products in order to help customers

The Ideal Candidate

Retail experience in the following areas is highly desirable, but not essential:

• Nursery
• Software & Gaming
• Backdoor/Warehouse

Our stores are open 7 days a week so we need our Sales Assistants to be as flexible as possible.
